Leccino is a Tuscan PGI olive cultivar native to the Lucca and Pistoia areas. It is an elegant, visually appealing tree that can reach a
considerable size. Its drooping branches somewhat resemble those of a weeping willow.
Our organic monovarietal Leccino extra virgin olive oil is characterized by a well-balanced aromatic profile, with medium fruitiness and medium-high bitterness and pungency. Its predominant notes of green almond, tomato leaf, and freshly cut grass are complemented by peppery nuances and hints of arugula. Its polyphenol content usually
ranges from 600 to 800 mg/kg (measured by HPLC).
Ideal with meat, game, legume soups, and first courses featuring woodland ingredients such as mushrooms.
